Some years ago Leo did voluntary work for a significant period in Africa. While there, he was involved with the supervision and training of others to work closely with people and their various needs. Now, calling Australia home, and an Australian citizen, Leo has, to date, lived in four really different cultures – Ireland; Africa; USA; and Australia.

He was involved with lecturing on cross-cultural issues in California and considering the impact of diversity (age; sexual orientation; gender identity; ethnicity) on the therapeutic process.

Other areas of research include the impact of Self-Compassion on the therapeutic process.
